The workforce today presents a unique challenge that has never existed before: four generations in the same workplace: Veterans, Baby Boomers, Gen X and the Millennial generation, with Generation Z fast approaching working age. Every single generation has a different view on how work should be interpreted, from it being a “duty” for the veteran generation, to it needing to be one of “fulfillment” for millennials. With four, and potentially five generations in the workplace, there comes a need to practice methods of inclusion in order for businesses to succeed and successfully innovate in today’s workplace.
